remoteadministration

The server remote administration can be called from any web browser. The standard port is 10088, but it can be changed in the Remote Administration Settings at any time. Assuming the port has not been changed you can launch the remote administration from the web browser on the local machine by pointing it to http://localhost:10088/.

In order to easily open the web configuration page when running nxServer as a service, start nxServer.exe from the desktop without any command line parameters. It will then display an icon in the tray area; right-clicking the icon brings up a menu to control the service.

The server administration is based on the scripts in the AdminRoot folder of the server base. This folder needs to be kept with the server for the administration to work.

All web pages have their own help text as panel below the settings and thus we will not include any further details in this manual. Please refer to these online help texts if necessary.

Please note that every NexusDB server instance must have a different configuration port. If there are several instances running on a single machine, then the first server installed will use the default port. The other instances will find the default port blocked and increment their port number until an available port is found. The port is then saved to the config file and used on the next startup.
